As part of the gradual lifting of restrictions in connection with the COVID-19 epidemic, Poland’s hotel sector resumed operations on 4 May, while the catering sector reopened on 18 May. To ensure the safety of tourists and employees, all such facilities have introduced special procedures to minimise the risk of infection. Based on the Guidelines for Running Hotels / Establishments / Boarding Houses during the COVID-19 Epidemic as well as the Guidelines for Running Catering Services during the SARS-CoV-2 Epidemic in Poland, issued by the Ministry of Economic Development together with the Chief Sanitary Inspector, the Polish Tourism Organisation has initiated a programme for businesses providing accommodation, the aim being to ensure tourists access to information about facilities offering their services in compliance with the guidelines. Participation in the programme is completely voluntary. Joining the programme, establishments that use the Hygienic Safe Venue. We Follow the Guidelines logo declare that they provide their services in accordance with the current guidelines of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate.
